In 2012 young people from Multicultural Youth NT (MyNT) came together with film makers to create the documentary Our Journey which explores the lives of five young people of different cultural backgrounds living in Darwin. The film provided an avenue for participants to express themselves, develop their skills and to find commonalities in their shared experiences as young people living in Australia's Top End.
The documentary recently won awards for Best Sound, Best Film and the People's Choice award at NT Fist Full of Films Festival. Watch film here

The MYAN NT works to promote the development and implementation of effective policy to attend to the needs of these communities. MYAN NT is currently supported by the Melaleuca Refugee Centre.
MYAN NT Briefing Paper: Newly-arrived young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds in the Northern Territory
The MYAN NT launched its policy paper on issues facing newly arrived young people in the NT in late 2012. This was a collaboration between Melaleuca, NTCOSS, MYNT and the MYAN Australia and is the first of its kind to be developed in the NT. Download a copy here.
